One of the significant challenges faced by AD Ports Group involves the handling of breakbulk cargo, which consists of goods that must be loaded individually rather than in containers. When such cargo arrives at the terminal and is being discharged, there is a risk of several issues arising due to the large quantities and high frequency of shipments. These issues include short landing, where the amount of cargo discharged is less than what was carried by the vessel, leaving some cargo still on board; wrong port destinations, where cargo is mistakenly sent to the incorrect port; cross delivery during direct delivery, where cargo is delivered to the wrong recipient; and cargo excess, where more cargo is received than expected. Additionally, human errors can occur during these processes, further complicating the logistics operations. These problems can lead to significant delays in delivery, and if not rectified in time, they may result in insurance claims and various other complications, causing operational headaches and financial losses for all parties involved.
