Steering committee for Standrizarion Affairs
The standardization and Metrology Steering Committee in the UAE, affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, aims to improve standardization activities, develop effective collaboration between all relevant entities in the UAE, recommend standards projects for approval, and enhance technical capabilities through training programs, consultancy, and technical assistance.
Standardization Management Committee
The Standards Management Committee is responsible for managing international participation in the technical committees of the International Electrotechnical Commission and qualifying experts to participate in these technical committees.
AE-TC03 - National Technical Committee for Electrical and Electronic Products
It is a UAE national technical committee for the standardization of electrical and electronic products, aimed at discussing and aligning natinoal Technical committee activities with the international and regional standardization activities.
Conformity Management Committee
The Conformity Management Committee (CMC) addresses all conformity assessment requirements of the UAE. The CMC is responsible for ensuring that the necessary conformity assessment infrastructure is established in the UAE to safeguard and support growth of local industry and consumers in the country.
Capacity-Building Committee
The Capacity Building Committee works on qualifying UAE technical expertise for all activities of the UAE National Electrotechnical Committee. The committee is responsible for developing programs and initiatives to qualify the expertise required by UAE industries for continuous development, growth, and competitiveness.
Advisory Group
The primary function of the Advisory Group is to provide recommendations and expertise on all matters related to the requirements and projects of the UAE National Electrotechnical Committee. The group includes members, experts, and representatives from various sectors, including industrial development, government and academic regulators, traders, manufacturers, certification bodies, testing laboratories, consumers, accreditation bodies, and youth.
