In line with the UAE government's objectives to reengineer hundreds of government services, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) is currently looking at redesigning the process for Registering Items for Customs Exemption.
The step supports the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, and MoIAT's efforts to engage customers in the innovation, design and delivery of services, as well as gain customer feedback. Applications for service approval are submitted through the ministry's website (www.moiat.gov.ae) upon completing the required procedures.

Objective:
The advisory note aims to get customer feedback on enhancing the process for registering items for customs exemption. The service can be found on the Industrial Services section of the ministry's website. The service includes industrial project imports (industry inputs) for machinery, equipment and spare parts, as well as raw and intermediate materials and semi-finished goods for production purposes.
