Selection Criteria
Target Startups
We welcome startups at Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 3–9, with a proven foundation and the readiness to scale.
Innovative Solutions: Startups must present unique, groundbreaking ideas with the potential to address critical challenges effectively.
Scalability: A scalable business model with the capability to expand and grow while adapting to market demands.
Sustainability: Ideas centered around sustainable practices that contribute to environmental, social, or economic well-being.
Market Potential: Solutions should demonstrate significant demand and relevance within target markets.
Competitive Edge: Clear long-term advantages that drive profitability and establish a distinct market position.
National Impact: Initiatives aligned with the national agenda, driving positive contributions to the country’s priorities.

This is what startups can expect from the competition
Screening and Preparation
Startups interested in participating in the competition are required to submit their applications through the provided online application link. Applications will be evaluated based on innovation, market potential, and alignment with the competition sectors.
Competition Days
Startups will directly pitch and demonstrate their AI-powered ideas to a panel of esteemed judges during the Make It In The Emirates Forum on 20-21 May 2025. Winners will be announced during the event, gaining recognition and opportunities to collaborate with key stakeholders and industrial partners.
Mentorship
Qualified startups will have the chance to participate in mentorship sessions with industry experts and entrepreneurs. These sessions provide valuable guidance, strategic insights, and networking opportunities to help startups refine their pitches and strategies.
Awards & Opportunities
The top three winners from each category will be monetarily awarded and will be announced as the startups of the year. Additionally, the winners will have an opportunity to work with an industrial partner on pilot projects, enabling them to further develop and scale their innovative solutions.
