The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology established the Investment Office as an important tool to attract investment to the UAE's industrial sector. The office aims to build direct communication channels between investors and organizations in the public and private sectors. It also identifies opportunities and enabling factors that support investors. In addition, the Investment Office monitors the incentives and financing opportunities available to suppliers in coordination with the Emirates Development Bank.
Objective:
Encouraging the public to participate in the decision-making process and in improvement plans.
Results:
The views of the target groups have been taken, and some fruitful observations have been applied in future improvement plans This communication channel exists, investors and project owners can share details on their projects through investments@moiat.gov.ae and the platform "Make it in the Emirates" The ongoing development of the updated "Make it in the Emirates" platform, will provide the investor with details on available land and facilities for industries through an interactive map The ministry is working with several stakeholders to reduce the cost of registering and establishing an industrial company and also reduce provide competitive financing solutions The ministry is working on developing investment opportunities through a value chain assessment study. Investments relevant to these opportunities will be identified and engaged Investment’s opportunities are being developed and these will be available for potential investors on the platform "Make it in the Emirates" We work with partner incubators such as HUB71 to incubate the ideas from innovators We do support project owners by connecting them to the financing providers such as EDB and ECI.
