UAE.. Regional leadership to protect markets from defective imported used vehicles
The UAE, through the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, has developed an integrated national strategy for the control of imported used vehicles. Ten years ago, ESMA has implemented a system of virtual inspection of vehicles, followed in mid-2017 by introducing technical requirements to control the state's imports of imported used vehicles. It prohibits the entry of 7 types of them to the state markets.
The UAE, is a leader in its regional & MENA region, has taken proactive steps in the face of defective imported used vehicles, which have negative impacts on the public safety, which may cause road accidents, are harmful Population and infrastructure.
We are working with confident government efforts to support the UAE's quality infrastructure, strengthen the national economy, and protect our consumers.
